CITY LETTER CARRIERS

Under the MIARAP process, management must conduct an inspection of your street time and duties.

Management uses a PS Form 3999 – Inspection of Letter Carrier Route to record your street times and what you do on the street. This is when a supervisor accompanies you on the street as you deliver your mail.

You are entitled to a copy of this form.

Request a copy from your supervisor so that you may review it. Make sure that you are credited with whatever you are entitled to. The 3999 is to be representative of your street time and duties. Make sure of it.

The union will receive a completed package of all the 3999’s for the office once all the 3999’s are done.

It is your responsibility to go over your 3999; you are the only one that knows what you do each and every day.

The union will be by your side every step of the way ... and that you can take to the bank.
