National Agreement
Article 41.3K
Supervisors shall not require, nor permit, employees to work off the clock.
Both management and the union are in agreement that carriers are not to work off the clock.
As unbelievable as it may seem, some carriers have been working off the clock for as much as 45 minutes. You are not permitted to do so not even for a minute.
If this continues, the union will file a grievance over each occurrence for a monetary remedy and management may take measures to prevent letter carriers from working off the clock inclusive of not permitting anyone on the workroom floor until they clock in or taking discipline to correct this situation..
We have enough going on; don’t make more work for us.
